Bikaner abhayindia.com Bikaner’s daughter Kanchan Ban has created a new history in Para Table Tennis and has achieved the distinction of representing India in ITTF World Future Tokyo 2025 to be held in Tokyo. Kanchan Ban won the gold medal in the UTT 1st National Para Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2025–26 held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh from September 3 to 5. Based on this achievement, he was selected for the international competition to be held in Tokyo. She left Delhi on 8 September and reached Tokyo on 9 September. The competition will be held here from 10 to 12 September, in which they will have classification before participating.
Kanchan Ban’s father Surendra Ban told that this success of the daughter has increased the pride of the family and the city. Kanchan has no personal coach in the competition and he is the only player from Rajasthan, while participants from other states are participating. Despite this, he has achieved this position on the basis of his hard work and passion.
Goma Devi Chamadia Foundation Trust and Rotary Club Bikaner Royals have come forward to cooperate in this international journey and training of Kanchan. Both institutions have jointly provided the opportunity to prepare for regular coaching and international competition by providing financial support of two lakh rupees. While continuing this cooperation, it has also been assured to further encourage talent.
It is worth noting that in para table tennis, players are selected on the basis of direct entry. On this occasion, Om Soni, president of Para Table Tennis Promotion Association and Meghna Ahlawat, president of Table Tennis Federation of India, expressed happiness over Kanchan’s game and his selection. This talented daughter of Bikaner is expected to win medals in Tokyo across the country.
