A heartbreak at the heart of all Parisian supporters. This Sunday, September 7, 2025 officially marked the end of the adventure of Presnel Kimpembe in Paris Saint-Germain. After 20 years spent under the colors of Paris Saint-Germain, the 30-year-old French defender has signed up with Qatar Sports Club.
His new stable has notably chosen to present it with a clever reference to one of his nicknames “Maestro Kimpembe”, which he was given since the 2018 World Cup won with the Blues. He will now carry the number 6.
“The Maestro is there,” he announces in his presentation video. “From the Parc des Princes to Paris, to the Château des Rois. Welcome to Doha! »Rejoices the Qatar SC.

In a statement, Paris Saint-Germain, with whom he played 241 games, praised “a major player in the history of the club” and “wishes him a good continuation for the rest of his career”. President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi retains from him “an ambassador and a model of professionalism”.
Victim of a rupture of an Achilles tendon in February 2023, he never managed to find since his best level and no longer entered the plans of Luis Enrique.
