Bayer’s search for trainers before graduation?
Who inherits Erik Ten Hag? The bosses at Bayer Leverkusen approach a decision.
Club boss Fernando Carro announced a timely decision in the coaching question at the football runner Bayer Leverkusen.
“We are working hard on it. I hope that we can announce something next week,” said the managing director MagentaSport on the edge of the official opening game of the women’s Bundesliga in Munich.
Bayer boss cannot be lured
After the separation from Erik Ten HAG after just two Bundesliga games, the factory club is looking for a new coach with a clear profile. “Of course we need coaches who can lead to clarity and orientation that have content,” said Carro: “In any case, these are characteristics that the new trainer should have.”
The 61-year-old did not give an insight into the list of candidates or an indication of the nationality of the new coach. Sports director Simon Rolfes leads the negotiations “always in German, English or Spanish,” said Carro with a wink.
After the international break, Bayer will meet Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday (8:30 p.m.).
