Kriftel (red) – On Sunday, September 14th, the amusement park in Kriftel will be transformed into a place of movement, game and sport. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the sports experience day will take place for the eighth time – this year as part of the Krifteler games in the park. It offers people with and without disabilities the opportunity to try out different sports. The day of action is organized by the district disabled advisory board of the Main-Taunus district in cooperation with the Sportkreis Main-Taunus and the municipality of Kriftel.
“Inclusion lives from interaction and getting to know each other – this is exactly what the focus is on at the sports experience day inclusion,” says Johannes Baron, district member and chairman of the district disabled advisory board. Encounter and joint activities are indispensable for inclusive cooperation, says Baron. “Together together is particularly suitable for this and offers the opportunity to playfully overcome barriers and to anchor the idea of a self -determined, equal participation in consciousness.”
Visitors can expect a varied supporting program with various sports to try out and participate-from baseball, archery, disc golf, football, soccer dart, climbing, wheelchair course, parking badge, tennis, XXL wooden toys. In addition, there is live music of the house band “Self” of the Antoniushaus Hochheim and the opportunity to find out more about various inclusive movement and hands-on offers. Participation is free.
There are only limited parking spaces available in Kapellenstrasse, Parkstrasse and Oberweidstrasse. Visitors are asked to travel to public transport if possible. The amusement park in Kriftel can be reached on foot from the Krifteler train station. The nearest “Kapellenstraße” bus stop is ideal for arrival by bus.
