Stijn Stijnen reacts as a wasp stung after suspension: “backbone -free statement”
Stijn Stijnen has imposed a 4 -week suspension of the disciplinary council for professional football. The coach of Patro Eisden went over the wrote last season towards a Match Delegate after the match against Lierse. Stijnen responded razor to his sanction.
It continues to mess between the football association and Stijn Stijnen.
In May the Patro coach was still acquitted in the ‘dressing room shop’, where it was complained that the temperature in the dressing room of the visitors was overly high and that there was hardly any place to change.
But a few months later, Stijnen now has a punishment on his leg. He gets an effective suspension of one day of play and a 500 euro fine. In addition, 3 conditional playing days suspension are converted into an effective punishment.
The reason is misconduct of Stijnen after the loss of Lierse (1-0) last season. Immediately after the game he went to get a story at Match Delegate Eddie Vermeirsch.
“Hey Vermeirsch, he has challenged me all the match. If you don’t mention it in your report …!”, Stijnen shouted about the Lierse team manager. Then Stijnen would also have grabbed the Match Delegate by the arm.
Stijnen blamed the Match Delegate that he should not have immediately brought out his cell phone to film the situation, but that excuse did not relieve.
Stijnen initially received an aggression control course for the facts, but on appeal that was converted to a suspension on Wednesday evening.
Patro has to do no less than 4 matches without his trainer. The suspension starts from Monday 8 September.

Stijn Stijnen “very much regrets the decision, but rests in the pronunciation,” we read in a statement.
“The disciplinary council followed the federal parquet with the meek and uncritically and assessed the facts totally different from the disciplinary committee, which had not imposed a suspension for the facts.”
“The council has closed all eyes for every nuance and circumstances in which the verbal discussion has occurred.”
