Modo vs Timrå: Hockey Defeat – Match Recap

Modo took the lead early in the last match in the SCA Cup.
But then it was Timrå for the whole slant – who drove over the rival by 4-1.

Modo has mixed and given during the preseason. The relegated team is held as a favorite in Hockeyallsvenskan this year by many. But profits against Brynäs and Björklöven have been mixed with losses against Sundsvall, Skellefteå and Timrå, among other things.

And just the match against Timrå was played on Tuesday night in the SCA Cup, a tournament in which Sundsvall was victorious. Not Timrå then, but Ettan Club Sundsvall Hockey. After Sundsvall won both matches against Timrå (4-1) and Modo (3–0), the intended final between Timrå and Modo did not become particularly exciting.

But Modo took the lead in the match, one that still means something in the Surströmmingsderby context.

“Is there more to be desired”

Then Modo completely collapsed in the third period. After Westfält’s receipt in the first period, three goals came in nine minutes in the third period to secure a big victory with 4-1 for bitch.

Goalkeepers in the match were Timrås Marcus Westfält, Jonathan Dahlén, Anton Wedin, Sebastian Hartmann and for Modo’s part Kyle Topping was the only goal scorer in PP.

Modo “won” the match in goal in numerical disadvantage. But it is still not enough, something Modo Hockey’s coach Mattias Karlin emphasizes in Expressen’s broadcast.

– There is more to be desired in five against five games, clearly, he says.
