The hierarchy of quarterbacks is becoming clearer in the New York Giants. After several weeks of uncertainty, the franchise published this Tuesday its first official Depth Chart of the season, confirming Jaxson Dart as a lining of Russell Wilson. Jameis Winston, for his part, appears in the third option.

Coach Brian Daboll had carefully avoided clarifying the situation during his press conference on Monday, preferring to maintain the suspense around the role of his two replacements. But the Depth Chart broadcast by the team upstream of the match against the commanders leaves little room for doubt: it is Dart who will have the responsibility to go into play in the event of a problem with the veteran Wilson.

If the Depth Charts published at the beginning of the week remain theoretical and unofficial, this choice is part of the continuity of summer preparation. During the training camp and the preseason matches, the quarterback rookie showed a constant progression, to the point of convincing the staff to place it in front of Winston in the rotation. It remains to be seen whether this decision will be confirmed on Sunday, since only two quarterbacks should be activated for the meeting, the third being able to intervene only in the event of an injury of the first two.
This clarification is not the only interesting data of the week for the giants. The GUARD Right’s position, left voluntarily blurred by Daboll, also found its holder. Greg Van Roten appears before Evan Neal in the offensive organization chart, an alignment which corresponds to what had been observed all summer during training.
A few days before kick -off against Washington, New York therefore seems to have raised part of the uncertainties. A way to approach the season with a minimum of stability, in a workforce where each place counts.
