Second triumph (91-47) of Scariolo pupils within Group C

The Spanish men’s basketball team has won this Sunday for a broad 91-47 to that of Cyprus in its third match of the Eurobasket 2025, whose group C is played precisely in the Cypriot city of Limasol, after having dominated from beginning to end a placid scenario before playing against Italy and Greece its access to the crosses.
Again at the Spyros Kyprianou Arena, Sergio Scariolo’s pupils began better than in his dress of the eve against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Willy Hernangómez opened the scoring and then Santi Aldama sneaked into a triple front to show that he was still plugged in the Bosnians. Although Darral Willis Jr. replied with another triple, it was a mirage.
‘The family’, despite the rotations and the different title quintet, was inspired by attack and teaching on the court the presumable superiority of its players before the hosts. The two Santis, Yusta and Aldama, usually spend more minutes of the Italian coach. Therefore, his performance in this third commitment of the tournament was reduced, as well as that of a Darío Brizuela still in a streak with his triples. The coral success of Spain and the laziness of Cyprus behind caused the differences to increase evidently.
A triple of Parra from his own field placed 70-29 on the conclusion horn of the third period. The team trained by Christoforos Livadiots seemed to wish that everything ended as soon as possible, since its two previous quotes in this group C had resulted in very bulky defeats and this was on its way to it because Willy maintained its intensity.
Without scares of any kind in the final minutes, Cyprus dedicated himself to not bleeding more and, if he could, also to encourage his fans with difficult execution baskets. This comfortable victory served Spain to put themselves in the group with a 2-1 balance, better than Georgia’s 1-2 although below the 3-0 of Greece, all pending of Bosnia and Italy.
