A victory before the industrial tribunal for Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The Paris industrial tribunal announced this Thursday evening to reject the requests of the former assistant of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. This former employee of the BeIN Sports group was dismissed on February 12, 2022, almost ten years after his arrival in the group and after seven years spent alongside the manager. She had seized the jurisdiction in particular for “dismissal without real or serious cause”.
In November 2022, this ex-assistant spoke in the columns of the “Parisian”. She had confided that she had been the “control tower” for many years of the president of the capital’s club. “It was 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” she described. (…) I was a soldier, still on the front line. These ten years seemed to me not even lasted a year because it was so intense. »»
BeIN Sports will have to pay damages for overtime
“It happened to me to let my daughter cry to answer a call or an urgent email,” she still completed. (…) It was unthinkable that my phone was cut. The pressure was enormous. I had no right to make mistakes. »»
Heard on April 3 by the Prud’hommaux advisers, she had reiterated her words, explaining that “Nasser was very demanding” but that she was “devoted body and soul” to her missions. “I loved my job,” she said.
“We are delighted that the Prud’hommes Council ruled in our favor, fully validating the merits of the dismissal (…) and thus rejecting all the requests made under the alleged nullity of this one, or even for an alleged moral harassment”, was delighted Charles Mathieu, the lawyer of the company Bein Sports in a press release.
According to him, this trial brought by this former assistant “is added to the list of fallacious and purely opportunistic trials brought against the management of BeIN Sports in recent years (…) but which are ultimately found to be bases before the courts”.
Charles Mathieu specifies that a “call is envisaged” on salary reminders “for alleged overtime”. The Labor Council has indeed summoned the media to pay the sum of 290,000 euros of overtime according to information from RMC Sport, when the complainant had claimed one million euros.
