Brandon Mechele has been one of the absolute strongholds at Club Brugge for some time now. As a mainstay in the defense, he had a wide share in recent Bruges successes. The Red Devil now unpacked with a sizzling post.
Youth product on record hunting
Mechele, now 32 years old, is a youth product from Club Brugge. He went through all youth teams and was transferred to the A-core in 2013.
In the meantime, the defender has more than 480 official games at his name at Blauw-Zwart and became a record holder with no fewer than six national titles, together with Hans Vanaken.
In May 2025, Mechele again extended his contract with Club Brugge, this time until 2027. With that, the defender emphasizes his intention to stay in Jan Breydel for the rest of his career. In the meantime, national coach Rudi Garcia also called him back to the Red Devils: Mechele even made minutes in a Nations League match against Ukraine.
Sizzling trip
The defender is also doing well in private. He has been married to his girlfriend Caroline Goorden since 2016. The two enjoyed the last weeks of a satisfying holiday.
