Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move to Milan but the latest reports suggest the player’s wage demands are casting doubt over a potential switch.

Whilst the salary may provide an obstacle for Milan, they could reportedly find an alternative solution – such as including bonuses or spreading the cost over a longer-term contract. Furthermore, the Rossoneri could also finance the move with player sales but a lot of that is dependent on how the summer window progresses.
The reports suggest that Chiesa, whose Juventus contract expires in 2025, is not prepared to sign a new deal with the Bianconeri and that his desire to return to Serie A could be an advantage in Milan and Napoli’s pursuit of the winger.

The Italian spent last season on loan with Premier League club Liverpool but only made six Premier League appearances for the champions. 14 games in all competitions and a season hampered by rotation and injury, Chiesa may view a return to Italian football as the best move for his career.
