Didier Lamkel Zé made his debut in the starting lineup for STVV during their clash with Standard on Sunday. The match began on an unusual note as he interrupted captain Bruno Godeau’s pre-game speech just moments before kickoff.

Following a series of missed chances by STVV, Eckert Ayensa seized the moment for Standard, scoring from a rebound to make it 1-2. This proved to be the decisive goal, as STVV couldn’t find an equalizer before the final whistle.
With this win, Standard solidifies its position in the race for play-off 1, having secured back-to-back victories to kick off the new year. Meanwhile, STVV continues to face challenges, needing to regroup and strategize to climb up the standings.
