QUERÉTARO, QRO., January 19, 2025 – The Institute of Sports and Recreation of Querétaro (INDEREQ) has successfully concluded its judo selection trials for the upcoming CONADE 2025 Nationals. Out of 33 participants, 31 talented athletes have been chosen to represent the state in the macro-regional stage, marking a significant milestone for Querétaro’s judo community.
Following the intense competition, Cedric Plouin, the head coach, expressed his optimism about the team’s performance. With 15 of his athletes securing their spots, Plouin emphasized the goal of maintaining their momentum. He aims to ensure that at least 10 of his students, if not more, qualify for the prestigious CONADE games, showcasing their dedication and skill on a national platform.
The event featured judokas competing across three age categories: 13-14, 15-17, and 18-20 years, with weight classes ranging from 40 kg to 100 kg. Participants hailed from various renowned training centers, including Talentos Deportivos, Dojo Samurai Do, Club Judo Kano, Judo Kyoei, and the University of Querétaro Judo Club, highlighting the diversity and depth of talent in the region.
