You’re right. What were your thoughts on Tottenham’s performance after the incident?
GN: I thought they showed real resilience. To be honest, I wasn’t sure they’d have the mental fortitude to bounce back after that. but they dug deep. Even without Werner starting – I thought that was a bold move by Postecoglou – they created chances.And Bergvall grabbing that late winner was icing on the cake.
Speaking of Bergvall, he’s been a real revelation for Spurs this season. Do you see him pushing for a starting spot, even with Bentancur’s potential absence?
GN: Absolutely! He’s young, hungry, and clearly talented. This kind of performance only builds his confidence. It’s going to be a engaging battle for places in that midfield if Bentancur is out for a while.
And looking ahead to the second leg, what’s your prediction?
GN: Anfield is a tough place to go, there’s no doubt whatsoever. Liverpool will be wounded, desperate to overturn the deficit.But Tottenham have shown they can handle pressure. it’s going to be a classic!
