Titano’s Talent Pipeline: Gearing Up for the Small States Games
The postponement of the Serie C basketball championship in 2025 has shifted focus towards the upcoming games of the Small States. Pallacanestro Titano,under the guidance of coach Stefano Rossini,is poised to be a key contributor to the national team roster for Andorra.
A important portion of the athletes vying for a spot on the Andorra team will hail from Pallacanestro Titano’s ranks. Beyond the club’s talent pool, the national team will also draw upon players competing in other leagues, including notable names like Ugolini, Biordi, adn Moretti. Additionally, promising young talent like Cadiman, currently playing with Pesaro’s A2 team, will be considered. Cadiman, a standout in Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro’s youth program, occasionally trains with the Serie A squad, demonstrating his potential to make a valuable contribution at the national level.
The coaching staff is actively monitoring other promising players within the youth sector. The final roster selection will depend on player health and performance following a demanding season. Coach Rossini emphasizes the importance of player well-being, stating, “The crucial factor is ensuring all athletes are healthy. Marc Vila: My pleasure. it’s always great to discuss Andorran basketball.

Marc Vila: I definitely think so. Coach Rossini has done a fantastic job developing young talent at Titano. We’ve always had a strong base of experienced players, but bringing in this new wave of talent like Cadiman, who’s showing real potential with Pesaro, is crucial for the long-term success of the national team.
Moderator: Speaking of Cadiman, he’s certainly a name generating a buzz. He’s been training with Pesaro’s Serie A squad, which is a huge accomplishment. Do you think he’s ready for the international stage already?
Marc Vila: That’s a great question. Cadiman has immense talent, there’s no doubt whatsoever. But the Small States Games are a different beast. The intensity, the pressure, it takes a certain mental fortitude. I think he could be a valuable asset coming off the bench, but throwing him into a starting role might be a bit premature. It all depends on how he performs in pre-tournament training.
Moderator: I see your point. Coach Rossini seems to be taking a very cautious, player-centric approach. He mentioned prioritizing player health above all else. Do you think that’s the right call?
Marc Vila: Absolutely. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and pressure to win, but these young players are the future of Andorran basketball. Pushing them too hard after a long season could lead to injuries, which would only set back their advancement. Coach Rossini knows what’s at stake.
Moderator: Indeed. So,looking ahead,what are your predictions for Andorra at the Small states Games? With this injection of young talent,can we challenge for a medal?
Marc Vila: It’s certainly a possibility. The Small States Games are always fiercely competitive. Cyprus, Malta, Luxembourg, they all bring their A-game. But with the right blend of experience and youthful exuberance, and a healthy squad, Andorra has a legitimate shot at making a podium finish.
