Matti: Finland showed resilience against Germany, but they need to find consistent scoring. They can’t rely solely on individual brilliance like ([2[2) Wahlberg’s]performance against Kazakhstan. The team needs to come together and play a more cohesive game, especially against strong opponents like the US.
Speaking of Wahlberg, he’s certainly making a statement, building on his extraordinary performance from last year. Do you think he has what it takes to be the catalyst Finland needs to make a deep run?
matti: Wahlberg possesses undeniable talent. He’s a dynamic offensive player, a real threat to any defence. But world Juniors is a team sport.
It takes more than individual brilliance to win. He needs support from his linemates,
and Finland needs to develop a stronger team identity.
