The 37th annual Nochebuena Race,affectionately known as the “Chocolate Santa” race due to⁢ the festive chocolate Santa figurines awarded to⁤ all finishers,saw impressive⁤ victories from Alejandro Onís of Oriente Atletismo and Lucía garcía of Independiente. Onís secured his third win in this event, crossing the finish line in an impressive⁤ 14 minutes⁤ and 30 seconds. Juanjo Somoano, Onís’ teammate from Oriente Atletismo, followed closely behind with a‍ time of 14:52, while David Fernández Ginzo secured third place with⁤ a time⁣ of 14:56.

In the women’s‍ race, Lucía ⁤García dominated, finishing with a commanding lead of nearly a minute over the second-place runner. Her winning time was 16:42. Andrea Trigo of Independiente secured second place with‍ a time⁢ of 17:34, and Llara Prieto of Gijón Atletismo rounded out the podium with a time of 18:21.
