Cavaliers Dominate Bucks, Extending Winning Streak
The Cleveland Cavaliers continued their remarkable run, securing a decisive 124-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. This win marks the Cavaliers’ third consecutive victory and solidifies their position as the top team in the Eastern Conference.
Despite a four-game winning streak, including a triumph in the NBA Cup final (which doesn’t count towards the regular season record), the Bucks couldn’t overcome the Cavaliers’ momentum. Milwaukee was missing star player Damian Lillard due to a right calf injury,which undoubtedly impacted their performance.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks’ leading scorer, put up an admirable fight with 33 points and 14 rebounds. However, his efforts weren’t enough to counter the Cavaliers’ early dominance. Cleveland surged ahead in the first quarter, with a three-pointer from Dean wade giving them a 17-8 lead after just seven minutes.By halftime, the Cavaliers had extended their advantage to 69-51, effectively putting the game out of reach.
The Cavaliers’ balanced offensive attack proved too much for the Bucks. Donovan Mitchell led the charge with 27 points, shooting an efficient 9-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. All five Cavaliers starters reached double figures, with Darius garland adding 16 points, Dean Wade and Evan Mobley contributing 15 each, and Jarrett Allen chipping in 10. Ty Jerome, coming off the bench, added 13 points in just 16 minutes of play.
This victory further cements the Cavaliers’ status as a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. As of today, they hold a commanding lead in the standings. Their next challenge comes on Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers, another strong contender in the East.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks, currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, will look to bounce back from this loss when they face the Washington Wizards, who currently occupy the last position in the conference, on Saturday.

Last night’s demolition of the Bucks, even without Damian Lillard, turned heads. To break down this impressive performance and explore the Cavs’ chances this season, I sat down with three-time NBA champion and coach Steve Kerr.
Me: Steve, that was a statement win for the Cavs. What impressed you most about their performance against the Bucks?
Steve kerr: Well, it was a complete team effort. Donovan Mitchell was fantastic, as usual, but their bench production was key. Ty Jerome stepped up big, and the starting five all contributed. they’ve got great balance and clearly have a lot of trust in each other.
Me: Absolutely. They’ve got a lot of firepower. Do you think they can sustain this level of play throughout the season and challenge for a championship?
Steve Kerr: It’s certainly possible. They have the talent,no doubt about that. But the East is brutal.Boston, Milwaukee, Philly – everyone’s going to be fighting tooth and nail. It’s going to come down to staying healthy and finding a way to gel come playoff time.
Me: You mentioned the Bucks. Obviously, missing Lillard hurt them, but Giannis still put up 33 and 14. How do you see the Bucks’ chances this year without a healthy Lillard?
Steve Kerr: Lillard is a huge piece of the puzzle for them. His scoring and playmaking are essential. Hopefully, he can get back sooner rather than later. Giannis needs that support if the Bucks want to make a deep run.
Me: Looking at the bigger picture, do you think the cavaliers have what it takes to dethrone the Celtics as kings of the East?
Steve Kerr: Boston is still the team to beat, but the Cavs are definitely in the conversation. They’ve got the talent, the coaching, and the hunger.
Me: What have your been hearing about the Cavs from around the league?
Steve Kerr: There’s a lot of buzz about them. People are watching closely and starting to believe. I think the rest of the league is waking up to the fact that the Cavs are a real threat.
