The National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps (CNSAS) of Lazio successfully intervened in the recovery of two missing hikers in the Monti Lucretili Park.

On the night between 21 and 22 December, the CNSAS Lazio intervened promptly to recover two hikers missing during the crossing between Tivoli and Licenza in the evocative scenery of the Monti Lucretili Park.

The arrival of darkness and tiredness compromised the orientation of the two hikers, but thanks to their prompt reporting, rescue was promptly activated.

Due to the lack of telephone signal and the imprecision of the geographical coordinates provided to the rescuers, the Research Operations Coordinators (COR) of the CNSAS Lazio, expert experts on the territory, implemented an effective operational strategy. This involved the use of two ground teams, deployed from different points, in order to cover the largest possible territory.

After intensive searches lasting several hours, both hikers were located in good health. Once their conditions were verified, they were taken back to the town of Roccagiovine.
In addition to the CNSAS operators, the local Fire Brigade and Carabinieri collaborated on site, confirming the importance of the synergy between the law enforcement and rescue forces.
