The badminton players of Roosterse BC lost the match against Duinwijck in the Premier League badly. In Haarlem it was 7-1.
Roosterse started the match well. The male duo Nico Hermans and Noah Jongen won the doubles in straight sets. The couple thus continues its winning streak. In the six matches that the duo have played together so far, only victories have been recorded. Only against Almere did Hermans and Jongen not play together in doubles.
Lotte Geerts and Rachelle Lemmens also started well in the women’s doubles. They won the first set, but still lost 2-1. Roosterse did not win a set after that. Stefanie Nijsse came closest, but lost 21-19 and 21-18.
Because competitor Smashing lost to Almere with the same figures, the Roosterse lead remained the same. The team is seventh halfway through the competition, four points ahead of the club from Wijchen. The Premier League will continue in three weeks. A home match against VELO awaits Roosterse.
