COIMBRA (Portugal) – The moment he has dreamed of all his life has arrived for the judoka from Trevia Tommaso Fava (Photo), who from tomorrow until Sunday 8 October will be involved in Coimbra, Portugal in the Junior World Championships.
The 19 year old from Kodokan Samurai Spello in a recent interview with Rai 3 Umbria he revealed that already as a child, when he started practicing judo at the age of 5, he wrote “Tommaso Fava Champion of the World”. The hope is that this is a premonitory sign, but already being able to participate in a World Championship means having made a dream come true.
Fava is not in his first international experience because three weeks ago he represented the Italian national team at the European Junior Championships and reached the round of 16. His category is 90 kg and in 2023 he also made a strong impression on the international youth circuit.
The race, although at a youth level, will be of the highest level because it is equal to a Grand Prix and also assigns important points for qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
So come on Tommaso…
