Edwin Cardona has been in the eye of the controversy, due to the sports results with Racing, disagreements with fans and the moment where he was stopped in his car, driving under the influence of alcohol.
The tests carried out by the local authorities reflected the level of alcohol, for which he was sanctioned. It was not only the economic part, but the social activity where the Colombian had to compensate for his fine.
The incident occurred on October 12 and the Racing midfielder published a message on the prevention of traffic accidents on his social networks.
“The Victims Impact Panels are meetings organized by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the City and the Secretary of Transportation of the City, in which the offenders of traffic regulations attend a talk with relatives of victims of a road accident produced by a driver who had more alcohol in his blood than was permitted and/or was under the influence of drugs”.
“This initiative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the City was established by the General Prosecutor of the City, Juan Bautista Mahiques in Resolution FG No. 107-21. There the General Criterion of Action is detailed at the time of agreeing the suspension of the trial process in cases of driving with a greater amount of alcohol in the blood than is permitted or under the influence of narcotics, stipulated in article 130 of the Contravencional Code”.
The Colombian’s publication concluded with “I want to leave a message that generates changes in thought and behavior that thus achieve a reduction in cases like the one that happened.”
Edwin Cardona does not finish the season in the best way, after not performing in the best way with Racing, pointing to a presumed departure from the academy.
