Follow in the footsteps of Shohei Ohtani with NHK WORLD-JAPAN
Since making his major league debut in 2018, NHK has followed baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani. We look at Ohtani’s ability to pitch and hit at the highest level.
In the documentary, those who supported him on and off the field speak and explore the importance of his father’s training regime.
Follow NHK behind the scenes at key pivotal moments in Ohtani’s life. Like regaining his health after elbow surgery and reclaiming his place as a baseball virtuoso.
Digital Eye #01 – Ukraine, How Satellites Changed the War
The first episode of NHK’s new flagship program, Digital Eye, focuses on Ukraine. Satellite imagery has helped uncover Russian troop movements and the destruction and humanitarian crisis they left in their wake.
NHK WORLD-JAPAN examines how experts and ordinary people view such images and other data as part of open source intelligence initiatives. It also examines how smartphones record things on the ground and how images and information travel around the world via communication satellites.
