Surprising car confession from tennis star Alexander Zverev – sports mix

Will he become a phoenix on ashes?

Alexander Zverev (25) will play at the clay court tournament in Munich next week and is the top favorite for the title at the BMW Open. If he actually wins, he will be able to take home a brand new BMW i4 (544 hp) in addition to the prize money (81,310 euros for the winner). Zverev: “A nice car, a four-seater. I have a few two-seaters at home, but not a single four-seater.”

The tournament should be the start of a successful series for the third in the world rankings after recent minor setbacks. The big goal: number one in the world!

Zverev: “The gap hasn’t been that big all year, but at some point you have to start dealing with it. I’m a good 800 points away from number one in the world. I’ve rediscovered the enjoyment of tennis and I hope that it will continue this week.” And: “I’m very motivated. I’ve turned 25 and I’m heading in the direction of where the pinnacle of my career should be.”

Zverev has been in Munich since Thursday and will not start the tournament until the middle of next week. Time for training – and for football! For the Bundesliga cracker Bayern against Dortmund, he has covered himself with cards and keeps his fingers crossed for Bayern. A return visit to the Aumeister is also welcome.

Zverev: “Thomas Müller is someone who has a passion for tennis, maybe he’ll be there, maybe Joshua Kimmich too. We would also give them quite good tickets.”
