Castelfranco Veneto Council Clears Oltre due milioni di euro Budget Shift

Led by Maria Ghimenton, the administration’s first budget variation targets infrastructure needs that officials say require technical backing, though not all projects are ready for construction.

Salvatronda Housing Recovery Targets Insecurity

The social spending package centers on a 100mila euro allocation dedicated to recovering five apartments in Salvatronda. The initiative aims to upgrade the residential units and return them to families facing housing insecurity. Daniele Manente, who holds the budget portfolio, called the investment a necessary response to mounting housing pressures locally.

Educational Facilities Secure Oltre 260mila euro

Educational facilities claim more than 260mila euro of the total package for building maintenance, compliance upgrades, and the removal of architectural barriers. Specifically, 130mila euro is earmarked for heating system repairs at the Treville school and flooring renovations at the Borgo Padova school. An additional 56mila euro will address bathroom accessibility for people with disabilities and moisture infiltration issues at facilities in Campigo and Villarazzo.

Baseball Field and Sports Hall Overhauls

The municipal sports sector receives significant funds combined across two distinct venues. The baseball field on via Malvolta secures 80mila euro to install protective netting preventing balls from reaching the adjacent Mom bus depot, alongside a new lighting tower required to meet federal regulations by the spring of 2027. Meanwhile, the sports hall receives 195mila euro to overhaul public restrooms and locker room facilities.

Strategic Urban Planning and Upcoming November Review

The budget modification also allocates 120mila euro to initiate strategic planning studies covering urban greenery, mobility, and historic center public spaces. Manente noted that technical and administrative groundwork must precede physical construction. Road maintenance will be addressed through a subsequent provision following a municipal survey of critical situations, with the administration scheduled to return to the city council by late November for a final technical budget review.
