Zealand Badminton District Championships Set for November 28-29

Badminton players across Denmark preparing for the upcoming tournament season must register by November 10 for the inaugural round of the individual district championships, known locally as the Kredsmesterskaber. The regional events, scheduled for November 28-29, 2026, will be hosted at multiple venues across Zealand, including Jernløse Badminton Klub, Værløse, Taastrup, Køge, Farum, Toksværd, Herlev, and Slangerup.

Zealand District Championship Venues and Categories

Competition organizers have distributed the age brackets and skill levels across several host cities to accommodate participation. Værløse and Taastrup are set to host matches for U09 C and D, U11 A, U13 M and A, U15 E and M, as well as U17 and U19 E and M categories. Additional Zealand venues welcoming players for the November 28-29 weekend include Køge, Farum, Toksværd, Jernløse, Herlev, and Slangerup.

Registration Rules and Deadline Pressures

Participants utilizing the club tournament fee scheme must complete their entries by the November 10 deadline. Organizers note that late registrations cannot be processed through the fee scheme. Players missing the cutoff must handle their own registration directly via Badmintonplayer at the standard entry price.

Strict Grading and Age Category Guidelines

Tournament guidelines require competitors to play in the exact same skill bracket across all entered categories. For example, athletes pairing up in the B-grade for doubles must also compete in the B-grade for any other category they enter. Furthermore, players are permitted to play a maximum of one category and age group above their actual classification. A U15 player partnering with a U17 teammate, therefore, must compete in the U17 division.
