David Ngoura, a 13-year-old striker in RSC Anderlecht’s youth academy, has emerged on the radar of French talent scouts after standout performances at international youth tournaments, Voetbalkrant.com reported.
Stade de France inquiries spark fresh attention
Conversations in the Stade de France press area ahead of an international fixture shifted away from the senior national teams when French tournament organizers approached reporters with questions about the young Belgian prospect. The organizers had watched the Anderlecht striker excel at a youth competition in France, noting his technical versatility. Additional French scouts subsequently confirmed they had tracked the player during youth circuit matches, describing a forward equipped with dribbling ability, finishing skills, and spatial awareness unusual for his age group.
Tournament displays against European top clubs
Ngoura Zanga David Junior has built his reputation through high-level youth fixtures across Europe. At the Euro Bierbeek tournament in August 2025, Anderlecht reached the final by eliminating Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, Danish club FC Kopenhagen, and Tottenham Hotspur, before falling 3-0 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the title match. Despite the final defeat, tournament organizers awarded Ngoura the best player trophy. Several months later, at the Algarve Cup in Portugal in March 2026, he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Arsenal to secure a third-place finish for Anderlecht.

Rapid promotion through Anderlecht youth ranks
Anderlecht has consistently pushed the young forward to compete against older age brackets. During the 2025–26 campaign, Ngoura was registered with the U13 squad while still of U12 eligibility, scoring against Zulte Waregem among other fixtures. The club continued accelerated promotion entering the subsequent season, placing him on the U14 match sheet in September. Youth development specialists note that early advancement against older peers offers significant physical and tactical challenges, though long-term career trajectories remain dependent on multiple developmental factors including physical maturation, injury prevention, and ongoing coaching.
International scouts track David Ngoura
While David Ngoura remains largely unknown to the general public, his performances have drawn regular observation from visiting international scouts at youth tournaments in France and neighboring countries. Anderlecht continues to integrate the forward into higher-age training blocks as the club evaluates his long-term pathway through the academy structure.
