Visa Expands NFL Team Partnerships to 13 Franchises, Investing.com Reports

Visa Inc. has expanded its portfolio of National Football League team partnerships to 13, adding seven new franchises while renewing agreements with four existing clubs, Investing.com reported.

Seven New Franchise Agreements Added

The newly established partnerships cover the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Four Long-Term Renewals Secured

Alongside the expansion, Visa secured contract renewals with four existing NFL partners. Long-term agreements were extended with the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The company also maintained its ongoing relationships with the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens, keeping those franchises within the active sponsorship roster.

Fan Engagement and Matchday Activations

The expanded partnership network will focus on game-day experiences, community outreach programs, client activation, and digital commerce. Visa plans to engage supporters throughout the football season across multiple consumer touchpoints, including travel, ticketing, dining, merchandise purchases, and stadium entertainment transactions.

“We are building partnerships that help Visa bring fans closer to the people and communities driving culture across music, gaming, entertainment, and, of course, sports,” said Frank Cooper III, Visa’s chief marketing officer. “Our focus is not just visibility, but on creating meaningful participation.” The company stated that additional activations, experiences, and programs will roll out throughout the 2026 season.

Broader Sports Sponsorship Portfolio

Operating a payment network that handles transactions across more than 200 countries and territories, Visa utilizes these sports alliances to connect with consumers through localized commercial moments. The NFL agreements complement the company’s existing global sports sponsorships, which include official relationships with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, and Red Bull Racing.
