The Department of Var is organizing a free sports village event named Var en Sport in Solliès-Pont on Sunday, October 4, 2026, offering nine different athletic disciplines and multiple live demonstrations for the public. Local reporting details that the all-day initiative runs continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Christophe-Dominici Sports Complex, located at 149 rue du Capitaine Molinari.
Free Sports Initiations at Christophe-Dominici Sports Complex
Visitors can access a wide range of sporting activities without paying an admission fee throughout the eight-hour program. The lineup features both traditional sports and action disciplines distributed across various zones of the facility. Organizers have established dedicated spaces for climbing, parkour, futsal, golf, baseball, boxing, beach-volley, scootering, and martial arts.
For climbing enthusiasts, a climbing wall and a specialized baby climbing wall are set up on the green space facing the stadium. Both structures remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the baby wall accommodating children starting from three years of age. Similarly, the main stadium hosts parkour and baby parkour setups, allowing participants as young as three to practice.
Team Sports, Golf, and Boxing Zones
The sports complex also accommodates team and precision games across its grounds. Futsal sessions take place directly on the stadium, while a nearby inflatable golf structure introduces visitors to the sport in a more playful format. A designated baseball field within the complex hosts introductory drills, and an inflatable boxing ring on the green space in front of the stadium offers initiations.
Additional outdoor offerings include beach-volley courts open for public initiations and a dedicated scootering zone positioned immediately to the right of the volleyball area. Martial arts sessions occupy another section of the green space facing the stadium, ensuring participants can move freely between disciplines throughout the day. A refreshment stand operates at the entrance of the sports village to serve attendees during the event hours.
Freestyle Football and Martial Arts Demonstrations
In addition to continuous participant workshops, the schedule includes three timed exhibition events staged on the natural area in front of the stadium. A freestyle football demonstration kicks off the showcase at 12:00 p.m., followed by a martial arts exhibition at 2:00 p.m. A second freestyle football performance closes the scheduled demonstrations at 4:00 p.m. All general initiations remain accessible until the sports village closes at 6:00 p.m.
