Turkey faces Italy in UEFA Nations League match, Hürriyet reported

The Turkish National Football Team faces Italy in a crucial UEFA Nations League A Group 1 fixture at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, with kickoff set for 21:45 local time (TSI 21.45), Hürriyet reported. Under the management of head coach Vincenzo Montella, the visiting side enters the fixture seeking its first points in the group stage after dropping its opening three matches.

Bologna Showdown Sets Stakes for Standings and Survival

Turkey arrives in Italy looking to reverse a difficult run of results in League A. The team opened its group campaign with a 1-0 defeat against France in Kocaeli, followed by a 4-1 loss to Italy at home in Bursa and a 3-0 reverse away to Belgium. Meanwhile, Fotomaç noted that Italy enters the match following a 2-0 defeat at home to Belgium and a 1-1 draw away to France, having previously beaten Turkey.

The top two teams in each of the four groups advance to the Nations League quarterfinals in March.

CNN Türk confirmed that key midfielders Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz miss the fixture due to yellow-card suspensions incurred during the Belgium game. Both players subsequently left the national team camp.
