TTC Seon to hold public table tennis tournament for 50th anniversary

The TTC Seon will mark its 50th anniversary by transforming the Dreifachturnhalle Seon into a full-day table tennis arena on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The milestone celebration features distinct competitions tailored for youth and adults, offering participants a chance to settle debates over who truly holds the best skills at the table.

The event opens its doors to the public with a schedule divided between morning and evening sessions, inviting players of various experience levels to compete. Organizers confirmed that every participant will receive a prize, ensuring that no one leaves empty-handed regardless of their final standing in the tournament.

Youth and Adult Tournaments Start at Different Times

The day’s activities begin at 09.00 Uhr with the children’s and youth tournament. This division is open to participants aged between 6 and 18 years old who do not hold an official table tennis license. Young players who typically challenge opponents on school playgrounds, in swimming pools, cellars, or at home can test their abilities in structured matches focused on engagement, new opponents, ambition, and enjoyment of the sport.

Adult competitions commence later in the day at 17.00 Uhr. This evening session welcomes regular players, former competitors, and individuals whose bats have accumulated layers of dust. Adults will compete across two specific categories:

  • Hobbyspielerinnen und Hobbyspieler ohne Lizenz
  • Spielerinnen und Spieler mit offizieller Tischtennis-Lizenz

The precise tournament format and playing mode will be determined based on the final number of registrations received.

Registration Costs 15 CHF for the Anniversary Event

Registration for the anniversary event carries a start fee of CHF 15.– per person. Spectators, supporters, friends, work colleagues, neighbors, and family members are equally welcome to attend the public table tennis tournament to cheer on competitors and watch the matches unfold from the sidelines.

To sustain attendees through the full day of athletic competition and spectator viewing, food and beverages will be provided on-site throughout the entirety of the TTC Seon anniversary celebration on October 24, 2026.
