Tournament organizers: Harold Mayot and Pierre-Hugues Herbert join Open Metz

The inaugural Open Metz – Grand Est will feature French tennis players Harold Mayot and Pierre-Hugues Herbert, tournament organizers confirmed. The event, a Challenger 125 tournament, is scheduled to take place from November 15 to 22, 2026, at the Arènes de Metz.

Tournament officials stated that the inclusion of Mayot and Herbert is intended to strengthen the event’s local ties. “Their presence brings a strong local dimension to this new professional tennis meeting and will allow the region’s public to follow two players from the territory,” organizers noted in a press statement.

Local Representation at the Arènes de Metz

Harold Mayot, a 24-year-old native of Metz, is currently ranked 186th in the ATP standings. His participation offers local spectators an opportunity to see a home-grown player compete in the debut edition of the tournament. Joining him is Pierre-Hugues Herbert, 35, from Schiltigheim. Ranked 296th globally, the Alsatian player is expected to draw support from the neighboring Alsace region, further anchoring the tournament within the Grand Est territory.
