Former NBA star Tony Parker welcomed fellow basketball player Joakim Noah to his estate in Charly, just south of Lyon, where Noah captured a subterranean underground tunnel housing a private nightclub.
Underground Nightclub Discovery at the Lyon Estate
Former Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah documented his recent stay at the property of four-time NBA champion Tony Parker in Charly, a commune of 4,800 residents south of the Lyon metropolitan area. During a video tour published by NBA Take-Two and reported by gala.fr, Noah expressed astonishment upon discovering a full-scale private nightclub built directly into a subterranean tunnel beneath the historic residence.
“I’ve seen crazy houses in my life, but Tony has a nightclub in an underground tunnel of his chateau,” Noah said in the footage. “A nightclub in the house! Seriously, TP?”
Parker explained the inspiration behind the unusual amenity during the walkthrough, noting his previous ownership of the Nueve Lounge in San Antonio during his playing days with the San Antonio Spurs. “Remember, I had a club in San Antonio with my brothers. We reopened it here,” Parker told his guest.
Trophy Room Tour and Former Teammate Reactions
Following the underground tour, the visit moved to Parker’s trophy room, which houses his four NBA championship rings won with the Spurs in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014, alongside his 2007 NBA Finals MVP award. Noah, who played alongside Parker on the French national team for two decades, reflected on the collection during the recorded visit.
“I look around and say to myself, ‘I’m really proud of this guy,'” Noah said, before declaring the property the most impressive residence he had ever seen.
The estate also features a modern main residence with minimalist decor, a private bar, a gym, and an outdoor basketball court. Previous television coverage by TF1’s Sept à huit earlier in the year showcased additional features of the property, including a vaulted indoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art training room.
Viticulture Ventures After Basketball Retirement
Since retiring from professional basketball in 2019 following an 18-year career, Parker has expanded his investments into real estate and wine production. Alongside his properties in the Lyon countryside and an 800-square-meter stud farm in Calvados, the former point guard acquired Château Saint-Laurent, a 40-hectare vineyard near Avignon in the Rhône Valley.

Parker launched his first vintage in 2022 with a limited run of 3,000 bottles. His entry into winemaking recently earned recognition from La Revue du vin de France, which named him personality of the year for 2026.
