Tennispark Versmold secured seven team promotions across senior and junior divisions during the summer season, building on the historic promotion of the club’s first men’s team to the 2. Bundesliga, Haller Kreisblatt reported. The surge in upward mobility spans from adult amateur leagues to youth categories at the Caldenhofer Weg facility, reflecting structural depth across the Westphalian club’s roster.
Second Men’s Team Converts Disappointment Into Bezirksliga Promotion
Club chairman Hans-Ewald Reinert singled out the performance of the second men’s team as particularly remarkable. Led by team captain Laurentiu Erlic, the squad channeled the disappointment of a narrowly missed group victory in the Bezirksklasse from the previous year into renewed determination. Through sustained perseverance and team cohesion, the group successfully earned promotion to the Bezirksliga.
Broad Success Across Senior and Junior Divisions
In addition to the second men’s squad, several other Tennispark Versmold teams captured division titles and promotion tickets for the upcoming campaign. The third men’s team advanced to the Kreisliga, while the men’s senior side in the 60-plus division secured a spot in the Bezirksliga. In the women’s competition, the Damen 40 team moved up to Kreisklasse 1. The club’s youth program also flourished, highlighted by the U-12 junior boys’ team advancing to the Kreisliga. Reinert emphasized that the success of the junior ranks demonstrates that the club’s organizational strategy focuses on building a broad and promising foundation for the future rather than chasing short-term victories.
Tennispark Versmold Players Prepare for Winter Competition
With the summer outdoor campaign concluded, Tennispark Versmold players have already shifted their focus toward the upcoming indoor winter season. Club leadership anticipates stiffer competition when league play resumes in the new year. Reinert expressed full confidence in the players’ readiness to handle the elevated level of competition, noting that the performances over the summer proved the squads are prepared to meet upcoming athletic challenges head-on.
