Tennis Talent Anna Pircher Names New Coaching Duo

Austrian tennis talent Anna Pircher has appointed Daniel Huber and Luca Maldoner as her new coaching team, as reported. The 16-year-old ÖTV player enters this new partnership following a turbulent summer marked by a legal dispute with her former trainer and manager Hannes König.

Coaching Setup at Gamechange Tennis Base

Daniel Huber brings significant pedigree to the partnership as the founder of the Gamechange Tennis Base in Vomp, Austria. His coaching resume features work with several former top-100 Austrian players, including Patricia Mayr-Achleitner, Yvonne Meusburger, and Andreas Haider-Maurer. Anna has a huge talent and brings everything it takes. We want to support her on her path in the best possible way, Huber told the Tiroler Zeitung. Luca Maldoner, a 27-year-old former competitor on the ITF Tour, will handle traveling duties and accompany Pircher directly on the professional circuit.

Pircher Builds Competitive Resume Despite Legal Disputes

The coaching restructure follows a challenging period off the court. In July, Pircher’s split from Hannes König spilled over into a legal dispute, generating difficult headlines for the young Tyrolean athlete. Despite those off-court distractions, Pircher has continued to build a strong competitive resume. Last year, at just 15 years old, she advanced to the semifinals of the W75 tournament in Vienna. On the junior Grand Slam stage this season, she reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon before suffering a first-round exit at the US Open.

Next Steps on the Tour

With her new team established in Vomp and on the road, Pircher turns her focus toward upcoming ITF and junior circuit fixtures as she continues her transition into professional tennis.
