Tay Ninh 5th Division Organizes Badminton Exchange Program

In the warm atmosphere of October, a month dedicated to recognizing generations of Vietnamese women, the Tay Ninh 5th Division Party Committee Office organized a vibrant badminton exchange program to strengthen civil-military solidarity and mark the upcoming Vietnamese Culture Day on November 24.

Tay Ninh Officials and Military Leaders Attend Badminton Match

The sporting event brought together prominent regional leaders, military commanders, and athletic delegations at the 5th Division facilities. According to local reporting, attendees included Nguyen Thi Minh, former member of the Party Central Committee and former secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Hong Thanh, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Nguyen Thi Giam, former member of the Provincial Party Committee and former vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council.

Commanders and officers from the 5th Division also turned out in force to welcome participating athletes. Colonel Tran Hoang Giang, secretary of the Party Committee and political commissar of the 5th Division, presented flowers to open the tournament. He emphasized that the gathering served as a practical response to national cultural milestones while reinforcing bonds between armed forces and local communities.

Competitive Matches Showcase Sportsmanship Across Regional Clubs

Squads representing multiple local entities took to the courts immediately following the opening ceremony. Participating groups included teams from the 5th Division itself, the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Office Badminton Club, the Trang Bang Badminton Club, the Phuoc Chi Badminton Club, and the trade union of Tay Ninh Lottery Limited Company.

Competitors embraced the tournament motto of “Unity, Honesty, Fair-play,” staging fast-paced rallies and coordinated team play that drew enthusiastic support from onlookers. Organizers noted that the matches gave division officers and soldiers a valuable platform to hone physical fitness, exchange grassroots athletic experience, and display the enduring qualities associated with Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

Commemorative Trophies Conclude the Tay Ninh Sports Event

At the conclusion of the tournament matches, division leadership presided over a closing presentation to honor the participating squads. Colonel Tran Hoang Giang awarded commemorative trophies to representatives from each competing club and individual athletes, marking the successful completion of the civil-military sports exchange.
