The Suzanne-Liébrard sports center opens on boulevard Carnot in the 12th arrondissement of Paris on October 19, 2026, offering a 14-meter climbing wall, boxing, martial arts, and multipurpose spaces across 2,700 square meters. Following an initial preview during a neighborhood festival on September 26, the City of Paris announced the official opening date for the multi-level municipal facility located at 17 boulevard Carnot near the Porte de Vincennes.
Building Layout and Sports Facilities
The 2,700-square-meter complex distributes its activities across three distinct levels to accommodate multiple disciplines under one roof. A multipurpose hall hosts gymnastics and dance classes, while a dedicated floor centers on boxing. Directly above, a dojo provides space for martial arts practice.
The facility features a 14-meter climbing wall designed with its own dedicated access route. Project manager SEMAPA oversaw the construction of the climate-protected installation, which houses 12 distinct climbing routes shielded from external weather conditions.
Registration and Activity Access
Local programming for the climbing wall is coordinated through the Centre Paris Anim’ Maurice Ravel. The facility offers on-site classes starting from age eight, alongside specialized sessions for teenagers and adults, including dedicated instruction hours for beginners.
Participation fees are scaled according to family income. Registration procedures require applicants to utilize the digital link provided on the official municipal activity sheet, with available spots verified directly through the organizing staff.
Architecture and Neighborhood Integration
The center bears the name of Suzanne Liébrard, an athlete and co-founder of the Fémina Sport club who advocated for women’s athletic participation. The building’s architectural design relies heavily on timber framework supplemented by earthen materials, while photovoltaic solar panels occupy a portion of the rooftop.

Street-level infrastructure surrounding the venue is also undergoing scheduled changes. Municipal authorities announced that boulevard Carnot will be transformed into a pedestrian and cycling corridor featuring new planting by the end of the year.
October 19, 2026 Opening Timeline
Public access to the facility follows a phased rollout established by municipal planners. After welcoming local residents during the community festival on September 26, the complex opens its doors for regular programming on Monday, October 19, 2026.
