Shopaholicadel puppy reportedly needs veterinary care for dehydration

An online petition and welfare campaign has formed around a puppy reportedly acquired by Czech internet personality Shopaholicadel, with animal protection groups stating the animal required veterinary hospital treatment within days of the handover, extra.cz reported.

Puppy Suffers Dehydration Under Influencer Care

Social media networks saw a surge of reports regarding the welfare of a small puppy allegedly taken in by the controversial influencer. According to updates shared across Facebook and other platforms, the animal was admitted to a veterinary clinic suffering from severe dehydration and gastrointestinal issues just days after coming into the influencer’s care.

Critics and animal advocates pointed to a history of contested pet ownership involving the same internet personality, who has previously faced multiple allegations of animal neglect involving various pets, including a dog named Rikoušek, a kitten, a guinea pig, and a rabbit.

Intervention by Animal Rescue Teams

Mike Oganesjan, who leads an independent rescue group known as Detektivní parta (The Detective Party), confirmed that his team is actively investigating the situation. In a public statement shared on Instagram, Oganesjan addressed the ongoing efforts to secure the puppy’s safety.

Unfortunately, we have not managed to rescue the dog yet, and a broader team of detectives is currently working on the case, with results hopefully coming soon, Oganesjan wrote on Instagram, asking the public for patience while his team pursues the intervention. Therefore, I ask you now and at any other time, let us work and get the results through. We have already rescued over forty animals and we will add more.

Tomáš Waluš, a member of the same rescue team, provided additional details regarding the animal’s current living conditions through statements circulated online. Waluš noted that caretakers faced logistical hurdles regarding supplies, stating that the dog lacked immediate access to standard feed because a postal delivery had not arrived on schedule.

History of Animal Welfare Allegations

The latest incident adds to a documented pattern of public controversy surrounding the influencer’s treatment of domestic animals. Previous reports detailed by animal welfare advocates include a dog named Rikoušek, whom critics accused the influencer of treating harshly, as well as a kitten that was reportedly rehomed after allegedly scratching its owner.

Further allegations from past controversies involve a guinea pig found near public waste containers following its death, and a pet rabbit allegedly released into the wild during winter months.
