Freiberg Holds Southwest Summit While Offenbach Stumbles
SGV Heilbronn-Freiberg maintained its grip on first place in the Southwest division following a 2-1 away win against SC Freiburg II. Former 1860 Munich player Justin Steinkötter opened the scoring to give the table-leader a 1-0 advantage. VfR Aalen kept pressure on the leaders with a 2-0 victory at Barockstadt, leaving them two points back in second place. Kickers Offenbach, which opened the campaign with strong form, continued to drop points after drawing 2-2 with Homburg. Former Munich forward Maxi Wolfram converted a penalty kick to put Offenbach ahead 1-0 before the visitors fought back. Meanwhile, SV Sandhausen secured a 3-1 win away to FSV Frankfurt under manager Markus Kauczinski, and Alois Schwartz began his tenure as Ulm’s manager with a 1-0 triumph against Eintracht Frankfurt II, managed by Patrick Glöckner.
Drochtersen Assel Sets Scoring Pace in Northern Division
The Regionalliga Nord developed into a tight contest at the top, where just seven points separate league leader Weiche Flensburg from sixth-placed FSV Schöningen after 13 rounds of fixtures. SV Drochtersen Assel highlighted the division’s attacking output by defeating Bremer SV 3-0 on the road, bringing their season total to 43 goals. That translates to an average of 3.31 goals per match for the second-placed club.

Oberhausen and Dortmund Battle for West Supremacy
The Regionalliga West increasingly shaped up as a two-team race between Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and Borussia Dortmund II. Table-leader Oberhausen defeated FC Bocholt 3-1 to solidify its position at the summit. In the other marquee fixture, Borussia Dortmund II overcame former Bundesliga side Westfalia Wattenscheid 3-2 in a contest played without defender Jesper Verlaat, keeping the pressure on the leaders at the top of the western table.
