SC Rhenania Hinsbeck Integrates Tennis Club Hinsbeck

SC Rhenania Hinsbeck 1919 e.V. has integrated the dissolving Tennisclub Hinsbeck into its club structure, adding a tennis facility with four courts and a clubhouse directly adjacent to its existing grounds on the Hinsbecker Höhen.

Integration of Tennisclub Hinsbeck on the Hinsbecker Höhen

The absorption follows the dissolution of the Tennisclub Hinsbeck after more than 75 years of operation due to a declining membership base. Under the agreement, SC Rhenania Hinsbeck takes over the former tennis clubhouse and four outdoor courts situated next to the club’s main sports grounds. This acquisition expands the club’s physical footprint alongside its existing infrastructure at the Leo-Vriens-Sportstätte on Höhenweg, which features a full-sized artificial turf pitch, a natural grass pitch, and a smaller artificial turf mini-pitch. During the winter months, the gymnasium of the LSB serves as an alternative training location primarily designated for younger age groups.

Youth Development and Club Membership Figures

With approximately 680 total members, SC Rhenania Hinsbeck maintains a strong focus on youth sports, counting 350 children and adolescents among its roster. The organization runs over 23 youth football teams, including three girls’ squads, alongside a Bambini group tailored for children aged three to five to introduce them to group play, motor skills, and foundational sports activities. The LSB classifies the organization as a particularly child-friendly club, a designation supported by a coaching and supervisory staff of more than 60 individuals. Annual membership dues are structured at 96 euros for children, youths, students, and trainees; 132 euros for seniors; 90 euros for retirees and pensioners; and 204 euros for family memberships.

Operational History and Community Support Networks

Historically, Rhenania Hinsbeck marked a milestone in Nettetal by becoming the first sports club to independently take over the operation and maintenance of its own facility, the Leo-Vriens-Sportanlage. Beyond its primary football operations—which span senior teams, junior divisions, senior-tradition squads, and walking football—the club operates badminton, general sports, and trim-fitness departments, with the newly incorporated tennis section set to expand its recreational catalog. Financial and logistical support is channeled through an active booster and support association comprising members, parents, grandparents, local friends, institutions, and corporate entities. This group contributes directly to facility expansions, coaching education, and community initiatives such as the annual youth Whitsun trip and the club’s 120-participant contingent in the Nettetal carnival parade.
