The third edition of the “3 Raquettes” challenge brought together participants for a day of multi-sport rotation across six fields at the Centre Culturel et Sportif and the Roger-Hayes Tennis Centre in Saint-Pierre. The multi-sport gathering featured three disciplines—tennis, badminton, and table tennis—organized collaboratively by local sports structures including Saint-Pierre Tennis Action, ASSP, and SPM Bad 975.
Organizers structured the event to foster discovery rather than competition among the 35 to 40 participants who cycled through the disciplines during the day. “There is no rule, no winner, no loser,” Alexandre Hublart, president of SPM Bad 975, stated. “It’s about discovery and a way to mix the three associations.”
Associations Organize Multi-Sport Rotation Across Six Fields
The partnership united Saint-Pierre Tennis Action, the ASSP, and SPM Bad 975 to stage the event across multiple facilities. Participants moved between six designated fields to experience all three racket sports sequentially. While the gathering was restricted to club members, organizers noted that expanding participation remains a logistical possibility for future editions.
“The event is jointly organized by the three local sports structures,” Hublart said regarding the format, adding that opening the challenge to outsiders would require substantial administrative planning.
Players of All Ages Adapt to Different Racket Disciplines
Participants of varying ages and backgrounds competed across the three sports during the Sunday schedule. Ten-year-old Lise, a regular badminton player, described the adjustment required when switching disciplines. “I’m used to the racket, so table tennis is easy for me, but it’s still complicated,” she said.
