The Rosario men’s futsal team selected its final 13-player roster for the upcoming National Selection Tournament in Río Grande, scheduled from November 4 to 8, according to reporting by Rosario3.
Head coach Nicolás Bellingeri finalized the squad following a two-month training evaluation involving 26 pre-selected athletes. The local team punched its ticket to the premier national tournament—organized by the Argentine Football Association’s Federal Council—by winning the Litoral Sur Regional qualifiers in Paraná back in June, defeating the Cañadense, Santa Elena, and Gualeguaychú leagues before topping Cañada de Gómez in the final.
The Roster Selected for the Southern Trip
Rosario narrowed its selection pool significantly compared to previous campaigns. Bellingeri explained that the technical staff evaluated several newcomers during the regional rounds before trimming the group down to the final 13 travelers.
Nazareno Biancucci and Ignacio Zorzón represent Náutico on the squad. Regatas contributes five players: Imanol Bonay, Nicolás Álvarez, Juan Carletti, Patricio Cattaneo, and Ramiro Pozzi. Rowing adds Ramiro García and Valentín Novoa, while Francisco Ovando comes from Tiro Suizo, Nicolás Schor from Manuel Rivelis of USAR, and Facundo Gastaldi from Sagrado Corazón.
Rosario Faces Ushuaia, San Nicolás and Río Gallegos
Rosario landed in Zona A alongside Río Gallegos, Ushuaia, and San Nicolás. Zona B features Río Grande, Bahía Blanca, and Salta, while Zona C includes San Luis, El Calafate, and Bariloche.
The team travels south on Monday, November 2, to finish preparations. Opening group play begins November 4 at 18:00 local time against Ushuaia at the Estadio Polideportivo. Rosario faces San Nicolás on November 5 at 19:00 and closes the group stage against Río Gallegos on November 6 at 21:00. The tournament semifinals take place Saturday, November 7, at 19:30 and 21:30, with the final scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at 12:30.
