Reza Hernanza’s wife Yuyun Yunita alleges intimidation and threats

Reza The Groove Divorce Proceedings Turn Contentious as Wife Alleges Intimidation

The divorce proceedings involving The Groove vocalist Reza Hernanza Desiawan and his wife, Yuyun Yunita, have escalated after Yuyun reported receiving alleged threats and intimidation following her counterclaims in court, according to reports published by detikHOT. The legal dispute centers on a cerai talak petition filed by the musician at the court.

Court Filing and Failed Mediation Predate Legal Clash

The divorce case formally commenced on August 24, 2026, when Reza Hernanza Desiawan submitted his initial divorce petition against Yuyun Yunita. The court subsequently scheduled mandatory mediation sessions between the couple to explore reconciliation. According to reports, those initial discussions ended in a stalemate without reaching any settlement, prompting the proceedings to advance into formal litigation.

Counterclaims Prompt Allegations of Intimidation

Following the breakdown of mediation, Yuyun Yunita and her legal representation submitted an official response alongside a countersuit, known as a rekonvensi, seeking post-divorce rights. Speaking to reporters in the Pasar Minggu area of South Jakarta, Yuyun stated that she was subsequently contacted by individuals connected to her husband demanding that she alter her legal filings.

“Saat saya gugat balik, dari pihak beliau itu menghubungi saya untuk supaya saya mengubah isi jawaban dan gugatan balik tersebut. Dan menurut saya sih itu zalim ya,” ujar Yuyun Yunita, as reported by detikHOT.

Yuyun’s legal counsel, Moh. Akil Rumaday, detailed the nature of the pressure applied to his client after the counterclaims were registered in the court system. According to the attorney, the communication carried explicit warnings regarding Yuyun’s professional standing.

“Sebenarnya ancaman itu berkaitan dengan kalau tidak mengubah isi rekonvensi yang saya selaku kuasa hukum mewakili Bu Yuyun, beliau (Reza) akan menghancurkan karier klien saya,” ungkap Moh. Akil Rumaday.

Yuyun's Legal Team Maintains Original Countersuit

Despite the alleged pressure, Yuyun’s legal team stated that they do not intend to alter the contents of the countersuit. Akil Rumaday advised his client to disregard the external pressure and allow the judicial process to handle the dispute entirely.

“Dalam konteks itu saya menyampaikan kepada Ibu Yuyun untuk gak usah peduli. Kita melalui proses hukum saja, biarkanlah masalah ini diselesaikan secara proses hukum,” tegas Akil Rumaday.

Beyond incorporating the alleged threats as evidence within the ongoing civil divorce proceedings, the legal team is actively evaluating whether the conduct warrants a formal criminal investigation. Akil Rumaday confirmed that attorneys are reviewing the legal parameters to determine if the matter crosses into criminal liability.

“Kaitan ancaman itu secara keperdataan merupakan bagian dari nanti saya pertimbangkan untuk pembuktian. Tapi apakah itu nanti menjadi dalam ranah aspek pertanggungjawaban pidana, secara teoritis saya akan mempelajarinya dulu,” jelasnya.

Court Case Proceeds to Evidentiary Hearings

With mediation efforts officially exhausted, the litigation moves forward under a strict judicial calendar. The court proceedings are set to enter the duplicate counterclaim (duplik rekonvensi) phase. Following that written submission stage, the case will proceed to evidentiary hearings and witness testimonies, with the next court session officially scheduled for October 27, 2026.
