Fear of God 2026 FW Collection Captures New York Street Culture Through Monochrome Photography
American fashion brand Fear of God grounded its 2026 Fall/Winter campaign in the physical textures of New York City, casting neighborhood residents against brick walls and apartment steps rather than staging a traditional runway show. Photographed by Renell Medrano with styling by Miyako Bellizzi, the campaign pairs relaxed sportswear with the daily backdrop of the city’s outer boroughs.
The collection integrates the ESSENTIALS Signature line alongside NFL ESSENTIALS and NBA ESSENTIALS offerings. Hoodies, oversized jackets, heavy crewneck sweatshirts, and wide-leg trousers feature prominent team names and brand logos. By avoiding traditional studio settings in favor of urban staircases and railings, the creative team deliberately blurred the line between commercial wardrobe staging and authentic metropolitan street attire.
Styling Proportions and Visual Composition in Urban Portraiture
Medrano and Bellizzi structured the campaign’s visual narrative around the distinct physical postures and clothing silhouettes of local youth. In one central image captured on a brownstone stairway, two subjects wear oversized sportswear with deliberate variations in layering and fit. One model balances a heavy black beanie while standing with crossed arms, while another sits on a lower step beneath a voluminous winter cap.
While the arrangement appears casual, the placement of the figures follows rigorous photographic composition. The juxtaposition of varying hoodie lengths, trouser widths, and headwear scales creates a structured hierarchy within a monochrome palette.
