Københavns Badminton Klub participated in the 10th-anniversary celebration of Antibulli hosted by Mary Fonden and H.M. Dronningen at Østerbrohuset on September 24, 2026. Ten club members aged 8 to 12 attended the event alongside coach Sofie to support the anti-bullying initiative’s focus on youth community and inclusion in sports.
Tenth Anniversary Celebration at Østerbrohuset
The anniversary event marked a decade of the Antibulli program, which Mary Fonden launched to foster well-being and strong communities among children in sports and leisure activities. Østerbrohuset, functioning as a satellite hall for Københavns Badminton Klub, hosted the afternoon gathering for children representing the seven sports involved in the initiative. H.M. Dronningen delivered the opening address to the assembled children, ambassadors, and sports federation representatives before participating directly in the day’s activities.
Athletic Exercises Led by National Sports Figures
Following the opening speeches, prominent Danish athletes led four distinct physical exercises for the participating children. Tennis player Frederik Løchte Nielsen, football player Kasper Schmeichel, and handball player Mikkel Hansen directed the stations on the gymnasium floor. Queen Mary joined the children on the floor to participate in every exercise alongside the young athletes from the various sports disciplines.
Københavns Badminton Klub Contribution and Welcome
Badminton Danmark contacted the club to request assistance with securing a venue and managing event logistics. The club’s Youth Player Committee coordinated the use of Østerbrohuset and helped oversee the ten participating badminton players throughout the afternoon. Gustav Stitz Gyrtrup, representing Københavns Badminton Klub, was selected as one of seven children—one from each participating sport—to officially welcome Queen Mary to the anniversary celebration.
Mary Fonden Provides Tools for Inclusive Youth Sports
Mary Fonden developed Antibulli as a practical well-being tool designed for coaches, leaders, and sports clubs working with children aged 6 to 12. The initiative provides freely accessible advice and training exercises intended to build inclusive youth communities in recreational sports. Additional program details and resources are available through the Mary Fonden project page.
