Paksi FC forward Dániel Böde has reached the sixth week of his recovery and is now able to train completely pain-free within a ninety-degree range of motion, according to the club’s rehabilitation staff. The 39-year-old player underwent surgery in August after tearing his adductor muscle during a shooting drill in training.
Paksi FC Recovery Update on Dániel Böde
The rehabilitation process for the striker is progressing, though outdoor pitch work remains on hold. Vuits Viktor, rehabilitation trainer for Paksi FC, provided an update on the forward’s physical condition via the club’s official channels.
However, we still have to wait for outdoor work.”
Böde sustained the adductor tear during mid-August training at Paksi FC following a shot on goal. Head coach György Bognár quickly confirmed that the team would be without the forward for an extended period.

First Surgery of a Long Career
Prior to the August incident, Böde had never required surgery across his professional career. Initial medical projections estimated a recovery period of three to four months.
“How do I view my first procedure in life? Let’s get it done as soon as possible, let’s go, and then I’ll come back as soon as I can! They said it would be an estimated three to four months of downtime,” Böde remarked regarding the injury timeline.
The forward completed the operation days after the diagnosis and offered a lighthearted recollection of the medical procedure. “It felt weird, the surgery was at 10 a.m., and then my first memories are from around 2 p.m. The doctors said everything went well, and I could go home that afternoon.”
By mid-September, Böde had advanced past the suture removal stage, wearing a brace while beginning physical therapy and controlled movements under medical supervision.
Extensive Record in Hungarian Football
Affectionately nicknamed the “Madocsai Messi”, Böde stands as a legendary figure in domestic football. Records show he has accumulated 531 appearances in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I (NB I), scoring 172 goals and contributing 75 assists. In addition to his club achievements, he has earned 25 caps for the Hungary national team.
With his return still several weeks away, Paksi FC continues to manage its frontline in the absence of the forward, while medical staff monitor his weekly progress toward full mobility and eventual outdoor training.
