The Ontinyent Archery Club (Club de Tiro con Arco de Ontinyent) has launched its new sports season with the introduction of its first local indoor league and a continuous training program, loclar reported. The newly created I Local Indoor League of Ontinyent consists of four separate competition days scheduled throughout the season.
First indoor league competition starts in October
The opening competition of the newly established league is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, marking the official start of a calendar designed to provide regular competitive opportunities for club members. According to club leadership, the competition format aims to combine structured match play with athletic development and social interaction among local archers.
Club president Inés Parra Pavia noted that archery requires a specific combination of “concentration, precision, and personal self-improvement,” adding that the discipline is suitable for participants of all ages, loclar reported. The organization created the indoor circuit to establish a stable competitive schedule and integrate the sport more firmly into the athletic offerings of Ontinyent.
Continuous training sessions run through May
Alongside the new league fixtures, the club has introduced a continuous training initiative that will operate from October through May. The instructional program targets beginners and individuals of varying skill levels who want to learn the fundamentals of archery under the supervision of club instructors.
With these structural additions, the Ontinyent Archery Club enters a new organizational phase aimed at expanding local participation, increasing the visibility of the sport, and encouraging broader community engagement in archery throughout the city, loclar reported.
Scheduled indoor league competition dates
The first round of the I Local Indoor League of Ontinyent takes place on Sunday, October 11, with three subsequent match days following over the course of the season as part of the club’s newly established competitive calendar.
