New Balance Japan has signed a landmark Diamond Partner agreement with NPB Enterprises Co., Ltd., becoming the official outfitter of Samurai Japan across all age brackets from U-12 youth squads up to the senior national team.
New Balance Becomes Official Outfitter for All Samurai Japan Age Groups
The agreement expands New Balance’s footprint in professional and international baseball by supplying competition uniforms, performance apparel, footwear, and equipment to every tier of the Japanese national program. Rather than restricting the partnership to the senior roster, NPB Enterprises Co., Ltd. and New Balance structured the deal to encompass youth development levels starting at U-12, establishing a unified visual identity across the entire national pipeline. The deal extends far beyond the senior national team, equipping all categories representing Samurai Japan from youth divisions up to the highest level.
Redesigned Home and Away Uniforms Debut at the 2026 Asia Professional Baseball Championship
For the home strip, the brand collaborated directly with Samurai Japan to introduce a new central chest stripe that pairs carthame red with traditional Japanese kachi-iro indigo, reflecting the spirit of Bushido. To launch this collaboration, New Balance and Samurai Japan worked directly together to design completely new home and away uniforms from a blank slate. The away uniform shifts to a calm wabi-sabi gray palette that mirrors New Balance’s signature brand heritage. Both kits will make their competitive debut at the upcoming RAGZAS Asia Professional Baseball Championship 2026, marking the first time the senior national team wears the updated designs in an official tournament.
New Monogram Caps Support Youth Baseball Outreach
Alongside the on-field apparel, the collection introduces a new “SJ” monogram logo featured prominently on the team’s baseball caps. The monogram is designed to bridge traditional athletic heritage with everyday lifestyle wear. Beyond elite competition, the partnership includes joint grassroots outreach initiatives on the ground across Japan, aimed at boosting youth participation and fostering domestic baseball culture ahead of the official retail launch on October 20, 2026, through the New Balance online store and select retail outlets. Beyond elite competitions, New Balance and Samurai Japan will actively engage in on-the-ground outreach programs aimed at encouraging youth participation and developing baseball culture across Japan.
