Sixteen youth teams across baseball and softball divisions have secured their places in the upcoming national championship Final Four tournaments, following regional semifinal action organized by the Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS). The decisive weekend schedule spans Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, with national titles on the line for Under 15 and Under 18 baseball alongside Under 16 and Under 19 softball divisions.

Crocetta Claims Under 12 Title and European Ticket

The youth championship momentum began on Saturday, October 3, when Crocetta A Universalflex captured the Under 12 baseball national title during its Final Four tournament. Crocetta advanced past San Martino Junior with a 7-0 victory in the semifinals before defeating Falcon U12 – Matteo Raggi Costruzioni SRL 9-1 in the final.

That tournament victory secured the club the Italian championship trophy and an automatic berth in the Little League Europa-Africa qualification circuit. Earlier in September, Falcons Torre Pedrera-Supermercato La Fonte Viserba earned a similar continental qualification pass in the Under 13 softball division by defeating Milano 1946 5-2 in the semifinals and edging Forlì 10-9 in the final on September 27.

Under 15 Baseball Final Four Field Set in Modena

Four programs advanced through regional qualifiers to reach the Under 15 baseball national championship, which will take place on Sunday, October 11, in Modena. The qualified clubs include Crocetta B Mercadanti, Autotrasporti Curia San Martino JR, Unipol Fortitudo B.C. 1953, and Wizards Villafranca.

In the regional brackets, Crocetta B Mercadanti won at the Carlo Tosi diamond in Senago by defeating host Senago Baseball 6-0 and Canavese Academy Lynx 15-0. Autotrasporti Curia San Martino JR swept its home bracket in San Martino Buon Albergo with a 15-1 win against Rho Baseball and a 15-2 victory over Sultan Tigers Cervignano. Wizards Villafranca advanced from Sesto Fiorentino by beating Polisportiva Padule Baseball 12-1 and outlasting ASD Black Eagles 20-16. Unipol Fortitudo secured its spot at the Leoni field in Bologna by defeating Itas Mutua Rovigo 11-6 and Fano Baseball ’94 20-4.

Under 18 Baseball Contenders Gather in Modena

Defending Under 18 baseball champion Unipol Fortitudo B.C. 1953 returns to the Final Four alongside Falcons Torre Pedrera – Michelucci Giuseppe, Sultan Tigers Cervignano, and Health & Performance S.S.D. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, in Modena.

The finalists booked their tickets through four distinct brackets. Falcons Torre Pedrera recorded two shutout victories at the Marco Pistocchi diamond in Rho, defeating Vercelli 11-0 and Rho Baseball 11-0. Sultan Tigers Cervignano advanced from the Pomari diamond in Vicenza by beating Itas Mutua Rovigo 7-4 and Net Systems Legnano 15-3. Unipol Fortitudo defended its title aspirations in Bologna with 13-0 over Vicenza BSC and 19-0 against Porto Sant’Elpidio. Health & Performance S.S.D. emerged from Grosseto by defeating Crocetta A 11-1 and holding off ASD Black Eagles 6-5.

Under 16 and Under 19 Softball Finalists Convene

Collecchio will host the Under 16 softball Final Four on Sunday, October 11, featuring Bollate Softball 1969, Collecchio Softball, Itas Mutua Rovigo, and Mia Office Blue Girls. Bollate advanced on its home field with wins over Porta Mortara Novara (6-1) and Crazy Sambonifacese (9-0). Itas Mutua Rovigo claimed its spot in Castelfranco Veneto by defeating Stars Softball Ronchi 6-1 and Rheavendors Caronno 6-3. Collecchio earned its home-field berth by defeating ASD Macerata 10-1 and Avigliana Rebels Beshielding 7-3, while Mia Office Blue Girls won in Grosseto against Grosseto 1952 (10-1) and Castionese (6-3).

Meanwhile, the Under 19 softball championship reaches its conclusion on Saturday, October 10, in Pianoro. The four finalists are Bollate 1963, Collecchio USG, Mia Office Blue Girls, and Forlì. Bollate swept La Loggia (15-0) and Thunders Castelfranco (12-0) at home. Collecchio USG defeated host Itas Mutua Rovigo 11-3 and Saronno 12-0 in Rovigo. Mia Office Blue Girls advanced through Pianoro with victories over Fiorentina (15-0) and Rheavendors Caronno (14-0). Forlì secured its place by defeating Grosseto 1952 (11-0) and Cali Roma (17-2).

National Championship Competitions Resume in Modena and Pianoro

National championship competition resumes on Saturday, October 10, with the Under 18 baseball Final Four in Modena and the Under 19 softball Final Four in Pianoro.
