Naorem Birahari College in Khundrakpam will host the Chongtham (O) Rajkumari Tamphasana Memorial Manipur University Inter College Badminton (M&W) Tournament, 2026-27. The competition runs from October 12 to 13 under the auspices of the Manipur University Sports Committee in Canchipur.
The event is part of the broader Manipur University Inter College Sports calendar. Alongside badminton, the university committee has scheduled numerous other disciplines across different collegiate venues throughout the state.
Colleges Must Submit Tournament Entries by October 10
Colleges and participating institutions must submit their tournament entries by 1 p.m. on October 10. Following the entry deadline, the organizing committee will hold the managers’ meeting and the official draw of fixtures starting at 2 p.m. on October 10 at the Department of Sports, Manipur University.
Eligible student participants must be officially registered in the AIU Sports Portal and possess a valid AIU Sports ID, as outlined in the general body memorandum issued by the Assistant Director of Sports at Manipur University.

The badminton tournament forms just one segment of an extensive schedule of collegiate competitions organized across Manipur. Earlier scheduling documents released by the university sports authorities detail a multi-month slate of events hosted by various campuses.
For instance, Ng Mani College in Khurai Chairenthong hosted the Kabaddi (M&W) tournament from September 17 to 18, while TS Paul Manipur Women’s College staged the Table Tennis (M&W) competition from September 24 to 25.
